History of Unimed

THE Unimed system was born in December 1967 in the city of Santos - SP. After a few months with the success of the service that was provided, it grew to 60 cooperatives. And currently it has 76 affiliated Unimeds, 4 million beneficiaries and 20 thousand cooperative doctors.

 Dr. Edmundo Castilho was a pioneer and, together with thirty other doctors led by him, they faced the problems in the public health system and worked for health, not for profit.

And the company has been working to improve people's health for 50 years. Be a part of this story too!
